For everyone who has been asking where I’ve been hiding, sorry for the silence but I’m back after a busy few months doing what I love – Creating and Teaching!
I was lucky enough to travel to Oslo for LIPA’s international auditions which was an amazing experience and one I hope to do again next year…Hint Hint, Nudge Nudge! There’s some talent in Norway and I look forward to welcoming those who start in September.
Since then, all of my attention has been on MCO Contemporary. Striving for more connections, delivering more classes and workshops and submitting funding applications for a little financial support in order for me to begin creating new work. I feel my hard work is paying off and MCO Contemporary is finally starting to be recognised! Lots more interests, lots of social media attention, merchandise bought and being worn and its fantastic so thank you for your continued support.
My latest project is a contribution to Merseytravel’s ‘Arrive Happy’. A campaign encouraging people to enjoy a healthier commute to work, either on foot or bike. Reunited with some old friends and LIPA Graduates, I was asked to choreograph a live flashmob involving four dancers, four treadmills and James Brown’s classic ‘I feel good’! Challenge Accepted!
It was a pleasure to be asked to lead this project and work with Mersey Travel and Creative Concern and I really hope that the City of Liverpool backs this campaign and gets out into the fresh air, enjoying their morning cycle or evening stroll home.
